Tanya Hartley

I am an enthusiastic and experienced primary school teacher who specialises in English. I worked at an outstanding East Riding school for 12 years before becoming a supply teacher 2 years ago. I have moderated in KS1 for the local authority and have been tutoring students at Kip McGrath in Hull since May this year. I provide bespoke lessons for children, taking into account any SEND issues to ensure they are engaged and enthusiastic about their learning.

I am an Ofsted-rated outstanding teacher with a track record of improving academic standards. I have extensive experience of teaching in both Key Stage 1 & 2 – notably Years 2 and 6 where I prepared children for SATs. 

I currently work as a supply teacher across the East Riding.

I have experience of providing live online lessons including hybrid lessons and improved literacy provision in school through my role as Literacy Co-ordinator.

I trained and worked as a local authority teacher/moderator in KS1 and have attended many training courses to improve my knowledge about SEND, greater depth writers and challenging behaviour.
