- Ensuring MKM branches are compliant with UK legislation by supporting branch directors to achieve this.

- Responsible for all 1500 employees ensuring they have relevant training and training records are up to date, including site induction, Emergency Evacuation Training, and specific task training.
- Ensuring all Site Risk Assessments and Surveys are carried out, such as DSEAR, Fire, Legionella, Noise, Dust, Traffic Movements.
- Responsible for risk assessments & safe systems of work are created for all tasks carried out by employees on Site, that they are controlled and readily available for all departments.
- Compliance with Wood working Permit and Wood Coating Permit (A2 Licence).
- Working with the occupational health providers to ensure employee safety and welfare in line with current legislation.
- Ensuring all contractors working on site have site induction and liaise with Maintenance Department and Principal Contractor regarding any CDM Areas.
- Manage Site H & S Team of 6 people, including holidays, time keeping, disciplinary actions, staff recruitment, bonus objectives etc.
- Ensuring all accidents/Incidents/Near Misses are recorded, investigations fully completed and any actions leading from investigations carried out in appropriate time scale.
- Arrange and attend all required meetings, at relevant times and minutes recorded.
- Emergency equipment is regularly checked and sufficient for requirements, such as First Aid, Fire Extinguishers etc.

To provide HSE support and advice to the company. Responsible for liaising with the Company Director and Factory Manager on a day-to-day basis to ensure all aspects of H & S are being adequately supported and site rules adhered to.
- Advice on the development and maintenance of the H & S Management System, implement actions and changes where necessary.
