Mainly work at lambing time. Here we lamb over 500 ewes outside for production of store lambs. Work with the Garbutt family as well as teaching vet students. Have dealt with severe calcium deficiency, prolapses, induced ewes, c-sections, watery mouth, dry and wet adoptions.
J Garbutt farms is one of the farms worked with to reduce the use of wormers. Pre lambing, visit the farm and take faecal samples to test for worms. By doing this we only need to handle the ewes that need worming which reduces stress and saves the farm money by reducing the amount of wormer needed.
