Liam Kay (LJK2020)

I completed secondary school at Copley Academy and started at Ashton Sixth Form in September. In order to gain experience in a workplace and contribute positively to the local community, I volunteered at Willow Wood hospice shop in Stalybridge where I enjoyed a friendly relationship with customers, the shop manager, and other volunteers. My role at Willow Wood involved accepting deliveries which I loaded and unloaded in/out of vehicles, aiding customers in the shop and dealing with cash and transactions.

I am always eager to learn, hardworking, reliable, and considerate of others. I get along very well with others and do my best to bring a positive attitude to everything I do.

• Observed court proceedings
• Accompanied officers during operational activities including warrant execution
• Visited specialist departments such as SOCG and Money Laundering Investigation teams
• Learned about police equipment and procedures through visits to the armory and marine unit
• Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and communication skills
