About
After 37 years in industry, I am now seeking to apply my project support, administration, reporting and improvement experience in a public service role where I can make a positive difference to my local community. Throughout my career, the work I have valued most has involved helping people, supporting colleagues through change, solving problems and improving ways of working. I live in Blackpool and am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to services that support children, young people, families and communities.
My background includes coordinating complex projects, chairing cross-functional meetings, monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, working with confidential information and supporting governance and compliance in highly regulated environments. I am calm under pressure, organised, approachable and committed to treating people with kindness, dignity and respect. I bring strong transferable skills, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to public service values including quality, fairness, accountability, compassion and trustworthiness.
Experience
Artwork Change Lead - GlaxoSmithKline
(2020 - 2025)
Led and coordinated site artwork change activity across leaflets, labels and cartons, supporting multiple project workstreams and ensuring priorities were delivered to agreed timescales. Chaired weekly cross-functional meetings, tracked actions and issues, maintained stakeholder communication and improved internal reporting processes. Supported governance, compliance and risk management in a regulated environment, contributing to over £800,000 in write-off savings while maintaining high quality standards.
Built positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and helped ensure that competing priorities were managed effectively.
Artwork Coordinator - GlaxoSmithKline
(2018 - 2020)
Coordinated a complex, time-critical Brexit-related change project, supporting the delivery of regulatory labelling updates across multiple stakeholders. Monitored progress, balanced competing priorities, maintained accurate records and escalated issues where needed to ensure deadlines, quality and compliance requirements were met. Kept stakeholders informed throughout the project and supported delivery within a challenging and changing regulatory environment.
Financial Data Specialist - GlaxoSmithKline
(2016 - 2018)
Supported the site SAP implementation programme by cleansing legacy data for migration, improving data quality and supporting business change rollout. Worked with colleagues and offshore support teams to resolve issues, deliver training and ensure accurate data was available for reporting, decision-making and operational delivery. Helped colleagues adapt to new systems and processes through clear communication, practical support and face-to-face training.
Trustee - Electric Pink Voices Choir Charity
As a Trustee, I help support an inclusive community environment where members feel welcomed, respected and valued. I contribute to decisions made in the best interests of members, support equality and inclusion, and help create a safe and positive space for people from different backgrounds. This experience has strengthened my commitment to listening, fairness, compassion and community wellbeing.
It also reflects my motivation to work in a role where I can contribute positively to people and communities.
