About
I absolutely love working with children and helping them feel happy, confident and supported. I am a caring, enthusiastic and hardworking person who enjoys getting involved, building relationships and seeing children learn new things. I am patient, quick to adapt and always happy to lend a hand wherever needed. Working in childcare and children’s theatre has made me even more passionate about creating a fun, welcoming environment for every child.
Experience
Mealtime Assistant at Jitterbugs Childcare (2026-05 – Present)
I really enjoy helping children feel settled, supported and confident throughout their day at nursery. I work with ages 8 months to 4 years, mainly in the 1–2-year-old room, where I have loved getting to know the children and watching them develop. I help with mealtimes, activities, nappies, potty-training accidents and everyday routines. I also regularly work extra hours and cover different rooms whenever needed, which has helped me become more flexible and confident.
Volunteer Teaching Assistant at YPerform (2023-09 – Present)
Every Saturday, I volunteer at a children’s theatre class within the YMCA, supporting children aged 3–18 with choreography, singing and junior productions. I work with children from a wide range of backgrounds, including neurodivergent children, and often provide one-to-one support with activities and behaviour. This has taught me how to keep children engaged, confident and happy in a busy environment.
Children’s Theatre Performer at Scarborough Theatre Company (2025-07 – 2025-08)
Performed in the original cast of a paid touring production of Dr Dolittle the Musical, introducing children to stories from books through live theatre.
