I am a graduate BA Industrial Design and Technology student from Loughborough University with motivation and passion to collaborate and create compelling solutions through a variety of means. I enjoy crafting emotive stories to sell an idea or concept and have strong commication skills, able to articulate my ideas clearly. I thrive within creative environments and can work well individually or in a team, I love the process of working with multiple people.
I have one year of experience working at V2 studios, a strategic design consultancy and Vitamin (their sister brand selling lighting and furniture), where I developed invaluable skills as a result of being involved in a variety of projects. My daily responsibilities within Vitamin gave me insightful knowledge of how a business is run and the importance of communication with clients. Projects led by the consultancy gave me opportunities to work on a range of diciplines including product design, packaging, research, prototyping, interior design, graphic design and manufacturing.
I rececently completed an internship at Path, a branding and packaging consultancy where I engaged in a range of stages within a variety of projects. This experience taught me the power of storytelling in order to sell a concept. I was able to work on concepts for premium whisky brand packaging and craft emotive stories and gained experience with presenting.
I also worked closely with a local wood fired pizza company, Barney and the Pizza, who were seeking a rebrand. This was a great opportunity to create a new name, logo along with multiple brand assets which were rolled out across the business. This was invaluable experience which vastly improved my communication skills, both with the business owner and commerial printing companies.
All of the above experience greatly developed my skills across the adobe suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
As a recent graduate from Loughborough University Design School with a first class honors in Industrial Design and Technology, I have developed a key eye for detail and thoroughly enjoy the design process. Research, concept generation and development are all key, while ensuring the project requirements have been understood to produce a considered and desirable outcome.
I have worked on a variety of projects, from packaging and product design to research and UX/UI, taking UX as my chosen module in my final year. From my time at Loughborough I have gained a confidence to try new things and love the challenge of learning new software to create compelling results. I have become a more confident person and have learnt how to clearly articulate my ideas, whether that being verbally or visually presented.
