I have just completed a Masters in Events and Experience Management at Coventry University which followed my Event Management degree. My academic studies have increased my understanding on the events industry as well as within the business environment. I have travelled throughout Europe and Australia, which increased my confidence and organisational skills.
I feel that I am a quick learner, and through numerous years of working in customer service, I work well under pressure as well as manage my time effectively. I have hosted numerous events throughout my time in education and worked in partnership with companies to make them successful.
I have worked in a customer facing role for 10 years across a variety of different roles including: Business Development Intern, Event Manager, Team Leader for a Merchandise Company, Implementation Support Technician, a Bar Assistant and Customer Service Assistant. I have shadowed the event's team at the NEC and got to see the creation and execution of Crufts as well as shadowing the De Vere Group Hotel's Event Team in South Cerney. Throughout these roles I have worked at different managerial levels which has enhanced my ability to work well alone or within a team, be an effective manager/leader and overall be a better team member.
I have also enhanced my ability to communicate with a variety of different stakeholders, assess situations and decide how best to approach them, understand and learn different legislations and requirements, figure out quick solutions to problems and de-escalate issues before they progress.
