Motivated and reliable student. Currently studying various Highers at Lochside Academy. I play football for Cove Youth u17's and have a strong interest in health and fitness. I have a very good work ethic and enjoy new tasks that challenge me in various ways.

I am very dedicated to complete all tasks and challenges in a timely and confident manor. I have 7 months of practical based work experience assisting in a barbershop. I have developed strong communication, customer service and teamwork skills while working in a busy, customer-focused environment.

I am keen to take on a weekend/evening role to gain further experience, develop my skills and contribute positively to a hardworking team alongside my studies. I would be happy to take on work in a different enviroment to a salon to gain more experience in different work fields.

Trainee Barber at Crown Barber (2026-04 – Present)

• Correctly and carefully opening/closing the salon- alarm systems, lighting and fire exits
• Greeting and communicating with customers as a first point of contact in the salon
• Seating and prepping customers ready for the barber
• Assisting the barber with the correct equipment they needed to carry out the requested hair style/cut
• Kept a clean and tidy environment for the public and barbers. This included sweeping the shop floor and cleansing/disinfecting all work areas and equipment with the appropriate cleaning products and solutions in keeping with the correct COSH requirements
• Cash handling and use of card machine. Entering payments into the system
• Booking future appointments using the shop diary
• Answering the salon phone in a polite manner taking bookings and general enquiries
• Learning different barbering skills and techniques
• Learning the correct way to use and handle scissors/clippers and products
• Learning how to do hot towel shaves using the correct products and equipment
