As a Kitchen Porter, I had the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, as well as all storage areas in the kitchen area. I also prepared desserts ready for service. As a Bar back, I ensured that the bar was always stocked, collecting and washing glasses to allow efficient service for customers.
This job taught me the importance of working in a team to ensure appropriate customer service. As well as this it taught me problem solving skills which allowed me to work alone efficiently.

I have 2 years of volunteering and 1 years payed work, for a playscheme for young people aged 8-11 for newly arrived and low income families. This experience helped me with expanding my social skills to different age ranges. It also trained me with safe guarding skills. Volunteering at Martineau gardens also involved supporting events, by running stalls, preparing food, taking orders, and serving food. This also helped me to strengthen my teamwork skills.
