• Delivered the platform’s payment, subscription and accounting integrations end-to-end — Stripe, FastSpring and QuickBooks - including webhook ingestion, HMAC signature verification, idempotent processing and bidirectional state reconciliation with external providers.
• Built cross-service business workflows using MassTransit routing-slip sagas, orchestrating multi-step document creation across independent services with automatic compensation/rollback on partial failure for distributed-transaction safety.
• Designed and built a centralised Fault Monitor microservice capturing MassTransit failures platform-wide into MongoDB, surfacing them via an admin API, emitting CloudWatch (EMF) metrics for alerting, and supporting message retry/redrive to SQS/RabbitMQ - with retention and recurring-fault grouping.
• Implemented a Change Data Capture pipeline (AWS DMS -> Amazon Kinesis) streaming Aurora PostgreSQL changes into the platform’s audit/change-history store for a reliable, replayable record of data mutations.
• Engineered reliable async messaging on AWS SQS/SNS with the Outbox pattern and idempotent consumers, plus type-safe service-to-service communication via Refit clients with internal bearer-token auth.
• Implemented RBAC authorisation (OIDC/JWT + claims transformation) and per-request access control enforced platform-wide, using short-TTL distributed caching (Redis/FusionCache + backplane) for low-latency checks.
• Authored Terraform/Terragrunt infrastructure for ECS Fargate services, DMS/Kinesis pipelines and environment configuration; maintained integration tests on real databases with Testcontainers.
• Championed production reliability practices: feature flags, staged rollouts, and expand-contract patterns for safely deploying high-risk backend changes.
