My main duties involve the setting, running and maintenance of a Heidelberg Diana Folder Gluer Machine for the production of straight line and crash lock cartoons for various clients including pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and drink companies. Other duties include quality and maintenance checks, data recording for each job completed, maintaining a safe and clean working environment and supervising and training staff. I have the responsibility of being a key holder for the company which often involves opening / closing the factory.
Machine Operator - HeathPack Ltd - Aberbeeg

My main duties involve the setting, running and maintenance of a TANABE JD BoxR machine for the production of solid and corrugated boxes for the meat industry. Boxes can vary greatly in size and type, for example double wall, 6-point glued, leak proof, which requires precise setting of the machinery, and also requires regular quality checks during production. A sterile environment must be upheld at all times within the clean room to prevent contamination to the boxes.
Other duties involve completing necessary paperwork such as maintenance checks, quality checks and dispatch reports to ensure the efficient production of the boxes. I help to train new staff and assess their development within the team. I also work within the warehouse using transport such forklift machines to unload / load stock.

My main duty involved the daily operation and setting of vogel injection moulding machinery in the manufacturing of 630, 1250 and 2000 Amp bushings for an electrical power company. Other duties included the finalising and testing of bushings before dispatch to clients, completing the necessary paperwork, health and safety standard and maintenance check sheets and appropriate tool changes for the efficient running of the machine.

My duties were setting and running of mould machinery in the prosthetic department, manufacturing prosthetic limbs for the NHS and The Ministry of Defence. There are numerous tools and specialised equipment involved in this process, due to the various shapes, sizes and colour of the limbs to cater for the client. There are also important admin and paperwork duties involved for maintenance checks, first off and tool change etc to ensure safe and efficient running of the machines.

My duties were the running, setting and maintenance of three skaltek packing and coiling machines. This involved size changes of cable ranging from 1mm single core/twin flat to 45mm armoured cable. To achieve this I had to use specialised hand held equipment which was performed manually.
A programme then had to be set into the computer to adjust the speed, length, size and running time to the specification of the product. After size change was complete it was of high importance to complete a quality check to ensure that the product was up to standard and free from any defects before continuing to run the programme and complete the product.

Duties involve assisting engineer with fitting and assembling garage equipment eg, Four-post lifts, and two-post lifts. Installing compressors and pipefitting which involved installing air and oil pipes such as half three quarter inch and two inch galvanised pipe, also fitting waste oil and commercial tanks for companies such as Ford, Vauxhall and BMW. Other duties involved driving company van to work destinations throughout Great Britain.
Compiling and completing necessary paperwork to given deadlines, ordering stock and contacting reputable and reliable businesses within the various areas that I work to provide high quality equipment.

Duties involved running Kasai Press Moulding Machinery (KPM). This involved tool changes, parameter setting, crane operating all geared towards manufacture of interior automotive components. I also had to complete necessary paperwork that accompanied the practical work such as maintenance sheets and tool change check sheets.
