As an individual with a diverse academic and professional background, I am excited to transition into a career in software development. My love for logic and analysis, nurtured through my MA in Analytic Philosophy and MSC in Psychology, has driven me to seek opportunities where I can leverage these skills to solve complex problems. Software development has emerged as the ideal field for me to apply my analytical thinking and continuous learning mindset to tackle challenging issues.

While my journey may seem unconventional, I believe it provides me with a unique perspective and valuable transferable skills. Similarly, my MSC in Psychology has equipped me with a deep understanding of human behavior, enhancing my capacity to design user-centered software solutions.

My decision to transition into software development was born out of a strong desire to combine my analytical strengths with practical application. Throughout my experience as a Junior Software Developer at Northcoders, I have embraced the opportunity to immerse myself in full-stack development and foster collaboration through paired programming. This experience has solidified my passion for software development and allowed me to develop a strong foundation in essential technical skills such as Test-Driven Development and JavaScript.

I approach software development with a growth mindset, constantly seeking new and exciting ways to enhance my understanding and problem-solving capabilities. My ability to learn quickly and independently has been instrumental in my journey, exemplified by my successful completion of solo back-end and front-end projects during the Northcoders bootcamp.

Beyond my technical competencies, my background as a Mental Health Practitioner in the NHS and my experience as an Assistant Care Officer in Children's Services have instilled in me invaluable qualities. I am adept at understanding complex human needs, collaborating with diverse teams, and maintaining a person-centered approach to achieve positive outcomes. These skills, combined with my natural curiosity and adaptability, make me a well-rounded candidate for a career in software development.
