Throughout my career in education, I’ve always been drawn to supporting children who face emotional or behavioural challenges, or who simply need a little extra understanding. My early work in the early years sector deepened my interest in attachment and the vital role relationships play in a child’s development.
On a personal level, growing up as a younger sibling to my brother, who has cerebral palsy and special needs, gave me a unique insight into the challenges children and families can face. It wasn't always easy to navigate the emotions and experiences that came with that, and looking back, I realise how valuable a supportive space like play therapy would have been. This experience shaped my belief that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and safe.
I’m passionate about providing a nurturing space where children can express themselves freely, make sense of their experiences, and begin to heal. My aim is to help each child build the emotional strength and confidence they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
I am a qualified and certified Play Therpaist with extensive experience in education and child development. Since 2020, I have specialised in therapeutic play to support children aged 4-14 with their social, emotional, and mental health needs. My career in education, which began in 2006, has given me a deep understanding of how emotional well-being underpins learning and personal growth.
My practice is rooted in a child-centred and integrative approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic play techniques to help children express emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. I work collaboratively with schools, families and professionals to create supportive environments where each child can thrive.
