• Visiting UK sites to splice and test fibre optic cables at a wide range of MDU multi-dwelling units
• Utilising techniques to test rod/rope underground cable routes & perform splicing/testing of optical fibres
• Safely operating within tight, restricted and confined spaces such as building risers and chambers
• Assessing and interpreting technical diagrams, job packs, diagrams, plans and network schematics
• Competently terminating fibres into UFS' (universal fibre solution) & breakout boxes (internal/external)
• Working in conjunction with engineers, supervisors, planners and staff to meet all project deadlines

• Safely ran and tested internal fibre from telecoms network entry points to floors inside MDU buildings
• Performed meticulous fibre testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs and fault-finding analysis
• Worked with the very latest telecoms test equipment to interpret technical objectives, scopes & plans
• Built and maintained various underground fibre optic systems, network infrastructure and PONs
• Undertook installations in line with industry fire safety regulations and fire stopping for internal cabling
• Evaluated and followed building surveys and plans to identify the scope for each precise installation
• Accurately documented all project work finalised and completed including as-built records and reports

Fibre Engineer Supervisor (Subcontractor of BT) - FIBNET SERVICES & CONSULTING LTD - UK

• Accountable for safely installing fibre optic solutions and dealing with fusion splicing and cable pulling
• Conducted risk assessments and completed re-tracing / testing to FTN standards & technical plans
