Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor, Leicester County Council
Designated H&S Advisor for The Environment & Transport Department, supporting the Director, Assistant Director and Heads of Service in compliance with legislation.
Current role consists of management of Health & safety training, risk assessment training (list not exhaustive). Work closely with individual services in gaining the ISO 45001 accreditation.
Conduct regular audits in criteria with the ISO 45001 management system and carry out inspections on a quarterly basis involving and liaising with the Trade Unions such as Unison, Unite & GMB.

I am in charge of implementing and maintaining health and safety procedures both within the company and to sub-contractors to achieve a high level of operational excellence.
I handle all aspects of health and safety, Including audits, reviews and incidents.
I have led nationwide projects to actively reduce the number of incidents and implement a culture of safety.
