Qualified Neuroscience Undergraduate student with passion towards Neurophysiology. Excited to explore the intersection of technology, medicine and biology, and its impact on behaviour. Enthusiastic to uncover new ways of improving mental health and to gain an insight into neurological disorders. Driven by staying on the forefront of research and using latest findings to improve the lives of those around me.

• Observed and gained firsthand experience with advanced medical equipment and technology in neurophysiology, including EEG, EMGs, Evoked Potentials, and Nerve Conduction Study machines.
• Co-ordinated with the neurophysiologist in the application of electrodes on patients' scalps and learned about brain wave patterns and the use of evoked potentials for detecting multiple sclerosis and optic neuritis.
• Developed an understanding of muscle activity through observing patients with electrodes recording muscle activity, highlighting the significance of EMGs and Nerve Conduction Studies in diagnosing muscle weakness, disorders, and nerve damage.
• Expanded knowledge of conditions and disorders treated in neurophysiology departments, such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, migraines, and other neurological conditions.
• Learned about diverse diagnostic and treatment methods, including medication, surgery, Deep Brain Stimulation, and non-invasive therapies like transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
• Guided in a Multidisciplinary Team Meeting, observing healthcare professionals collaborate and discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
• Gained insight into the importance of teamwork and communication in the healthcare field, as well as the complexity involved in identifying and treating neurological conditions.
