My name is Meisha and I am a mother of one and a university student ( from home ) looking for employment. I am a very empathetic , caring and determined person who is always willing to try my best at what I do. My son has also taught me that I’m quite patient as well - I’m sure many parents can relate to that!
Day to day I enjoy taking my son on long walks , to parks and play areas, which I’m sure I’ll miss now he has started nursery. My free time is taken up by university work - I study psychology as I am very passionate about helping and working with people and hope to end up in a profession where I can make a difference to people's lives. However , I am also a big book worm who doesn’t discriminate between genres and manages to finish novels between nappy changes and park visits.
Carer - in 2019 I completed work experience in secondary school. This was a carer role in a care home. My duties involved checking in with residents to assure their needs were being met and providing things they needed , within means as of course I was just a student. However , I loved the role and getting to know the residents and using communication skills to support them.
Waitress - In 2021 I was a waitress from October till December at an Italian restaurant called Al Fornos in Ingelby Barwick. My job role involved money handling , setting tables , taking orders , serving food and cleaning. It was surprisingly a high pressure job as it was very busy all the time regardless of day or hour. However, I think I learnt how to survive in a quick paced job during this role.
In college I studied a year of chemistry and sociology , I averaged a C for chemistry and A for sociology. I continued for two years where I studied psychology from my first year and received an A , but was unable to finish law and history due to pregnancy where I averaged a B for both. In school i got all As for English , science , RE and health and social. I got a B in history and a C in french and maths.
