Michael Dreyer

I completed the LPC and MSc in Business and Law at the University of Law in June 2022. Having carried out work experience in the legal sector both in the UK and Germany, I am looking for a training contract or relevant legal role to further develop my skills and experience. I am interested in pursuing a relevant role to further develop my skills.

My most recent legal experience was as an intern at the firm Streathers Solicitors where I worked primarily with the litigation team. Whilst working with the litigation team my main tasks where to conduct research on matters relating to disputes and analyse the Articles of Association of a client to look for potential issues. To Supplement my experience in litigation, I also studied commercial litigation as an optional LPC module, which gave me valuable insight into Alternative Dispute Resolution methods as well an understanding of the litigation process.

In addition to being able to speak German to a professional fluency, I have experience drafting company bylaws and communicating with clients in both German and English while interning at a law firm in Germany. To further support this, I worked as a legal translator for a period of four months for Dekra translating legal claims and advising claims handlers on the technical points of German civil law. Additionally, I worked for a period of two months at the insurance broker Butcher Robinson & Staples to progress my understanding of the insurance sector.

I have completed the LPC as well as a Masters in Law and Business at the University of law. I studied my undergraduate degree at the University of Nottingham (Law with German and German Law).
