With an OTA/PTA diploma, I have gained clinical experience such as using therapeutic modalities and assisting with range of motion, ADLs, IADLs, and patient transfers under the supervision of OT, PT, and rehabilitation assistants. I was assigned in both outpatient and inpatient facilities with geriatric, stroke, dementia, WSIB, MVA, and private patients. In addition to my background as a medical administrative assistant, I am capable of working with different healthcare practitioners, handling private health information, interacting with patients, and understanding medical jargon.
