Control Room Operator & Concierge at NGS Security (2025-03 – 2025-11)
Working as a control room operator overseeing over 90 sites and 60 staff on a shift. A key part of this role was working as a concierge for several sites. Alongside this, I handled communications between clients, created schedules months in advance, added last-minute shifts, and was the first line of contact for on-site emergencies – advising staff through each site's protocol.
I used software to keep schedules running smoothly, communicated via phone and emails daily, and completed a daily report for the next operator.
Door Supervisor & Floor Manager at BMC Security (2023-07 – 2024-08)
Working as a security officer at various locations, from empty sites to busy shopping malls. This role strengthened my ability to remain calm, welcoming, and professional as a first point of contact for guests. As floor manager on hotel security, I allocated staff positions, managed radio communication, and responded to any issues – skills directly transferable to overseeing a concierge desk and coordinating guest needs.

I was in charge of 3 trainees on their first shift, making sure not to overload them with information and giving clear, brief instructions – a skill I would bring to training new front-of-house or concierge staff and ensuring guests receive consistent, friendly service.

Railway maintenance involved working with different teams in different locations on each contract. I learned to cope with constant change of work environment, which helps me stay adaptable and composed at a busy concierge desk. While on the rails, I led a team of 8 on a physically demanding task, relocating heavy cables.
I allocated rest stops and the pace of walks so it was manageable for the team – developing leadership and task coordination that supports organising guest requests, deliveries, and staff rotas.
