I was involved in project called RTBC - Remote Technical Briefing Centre (RTBC) this was an initiative program to deploy customer facing, production-level demonstration environment to key Cisco offices across EMEA with the executive sponsorship. During my time in RTBC project I was part of team that rolled out 9 Demo facilities across EMEA sites (Moscow, Milan, Paris, Dubai, New York, Dublin, London, Berlin and Johannesburg) today they have achieved at least 20 more sites across world wide. Part of my job was to update these demo facilities to the latest technology Cisco System was developing.
Not only I was part of the technical team but also I got involved helping out the Sales force to actually do some of the Demos to high end customers.
Building, test technical solutions demos and provide technical support for those sites was my first priority in my time at this team. These demo facilities were incredibly unique as customers sometimes travelled from long distance to get a feel of this latest technology Cisco was selling. My role as whole was to ensure the demo facilities were able to provide the account teams the leverage they needed to start the pre-sales process and sometime closing the deal quickly as customer were able to see in first hand what exactly they were buying.
