During the summer holiday, I completed work at a warehouse in Egerton for a company that specialised in baby clothes. My duties included collecting and comprehending online customer orders and then hand picking the order from a warehouse of stock. This fast paced environment helped me to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, as the order had to get to the customer as quickly as possible.
It also helped me to develop my team work and communication skills, as it was important that each person picked the right item of stock to go to the customer.

I was responsible for the maintenance of the shop, which included making sure that the fridges and shelves were stocked at all times. As well as this, I answered the shop phone, which meant that I was always handling customer queries. Working at a newsagents helped me to develop my time keeping skills, as it was important to be on time for my shifts, as well as learning how to multi-task and communicate with customers and other staff members effectively.
Work Experience at Dave's Aquarium (2017-06 – 2017-06)
In June 2017, I completed my work experience at Dave's Aquarium. I took on a variety of roles including caring for the animals, making sure they were clean and fed, ensured the shop floor was to acceptable hygiene standards and following all instructions from my boss.
Babysitter at Family Friend (2016-01 – 2019-12)
Since the age of 17, I have looked after the children of a family friend. I am responsible for looking after three children, which means that I make sure that they have eaten, make sure that they are in bed at the correct times and ensure that they are entertained. On regular occasions, I also complete small household jobs, which include washing the dishes and folding the laundry.
Babysitting has helped me develop my listening skills, my ability to follow instructions and to co-operate effectively, both with adults and children.
