I am currently completing a self paced online access to HE diploma with plans to eventually progress onto adult nursing.
Body Piercer at Self-employed (Present)
Although not directly relevant to childcare, I do find that working for myself has taught me a lot of valuable skills. I manage all my own bookings, stock orders, customer care, taxes and accounting etc. I have to work to extremely high standards of hygiene and constantly improve my practice.
Apprentice Childminders Assistant at Kate Gilheaney (2021-11 – 2024-01)
I work alongside Kate and her other assistant. I help to provide care for children aged 4 months to around 18 months here.
Assistant at The Wonder Years Bromley (2022-01 – 2024-01)
My manager, Kate, worked very closely with another childminder and they have opened a pre-school together. I occasionally cover for staff members who are sick or on holiday. My roles there are very similar to those at Kate's house however I don't do handovers or prepare snacks. The children at this setting are aged between 18 months and 4 years.
Apprentice Nursery Practitioner at Ladybird Nursery Anerley (2021-03 – 2021-05)
I was based in the school leavers' room with children aged 3 to 4 years old, however I did sometimes cover in the preschool, baby and toddler rooms. I really enjoyed working with the variety of age groups. My typical day-to-day roles were similar to those of my current job.
