Activities Organiser - Saffron House Elderly Care

For this job role I worked part time in supporting and engaging with care residents that had Dementia or Alzheimer disease. This was done by providing activities that were seasonal and historical, building relationships with their loved ones and other residents within the care home, and implementing day trips out along with conducting brain and memory games. I also passed my DBS check and all training that was provided.
Cleaner - The Housekeeper

I Joined my friends own cleaning Business, which supplied its own products & tools along with its standard housekeeping duties. We offered a range of services, including deep oven cleaning, window cleaning, laundry services and general cleans. We were able to develop a large customer base, ranging from office spaces, show homes and apartment blocks all whilst running domestic services as well.
Bar Waitress - The Crafty Fox Pub

My duties for this job role were to deliver excellent customer service by serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and pub food. On my day and evening shifts I had a variety of different opportunities this would either be taking and serving orders for the bar and kitchen, working on tills handling cash and transaction, restocking bar supplies, glass collecting, clearing and cleaning tables, arranging table settings and following the health and safety guidelines within the workplace.
Early Years Educator (Placement) - Stephenson college

I studied for my level 3 Diploma in childcare and education (Early years educator) where I did 3 days at college and 2 days in placement. I had the opportunity to experience 3 different placements, my first placement as a nursery nurse practitioner, my second as a family support worker and then my third as a teaching assistant. During these work placements I worked with children at the age range of 0-7 years old.
In these working environments I ensured I followed all the legislations and attended all the training provided. I planned and carried out activities, worked in partnership with families and staff, leading my own groups, supporting children to engage and on their holistic learning as individuals or in a group, managing behaviors and supporting a safe environment.
Teaching Assistant - Measham C of E Primary School
(2012-01 - 2013-12)
I did an apprenticeship as a teaching assistant where I worked 4 days and attended Burton and South Derbyshire college once a week studying my level 2 in supporting teaching and learning in schools. I attended and completed all training provided and ensured I followed all legislations. I worked with children of the age range to 5-11 years providing my own planned activities that worked alongside the teacher and their topics.
I had the opportunity of providing my own reading group to support children on their reading skills and phonics, working with different year groups, assisting with lunchtimes, working in partnership with staff and families, giving out awards in assemblies for each individual that reach all their tasks in learning and behavior in class and also helping out on after school clubs and events.
