I am a self-directed, enthusiastic educator with a passionate commitment to student development and their learning experiences. I am a very determined, reliable and organised individual who is energetic, passionate and well driven to fulfil all career ambitions and goals. With a proven ability to encourage children to achieve their full potential, I thrive by stimulating their enthusiasm for learning and also their determination to succeed.
I am currently looking for an opportunity to make a genuine difference in an ambitious and progressive school.
I am a very reliable, enthusiastic and confident individual who is very well organized. I have experience in being taught and have always tried to analyse and evaluate teaching techniques and identified aspects which are beneficial. I do wish to continuously maintain high standards along with becoming a role model for students within or outside my lessons.
My experience of teaching students in varying demographics has allowed me to make use of the AQA, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC examination boards along with having a sound judgement of the assessment requirements and specification changes for each exam board within their Business Studies curriculum. This has allowed me to be able assess and address the levels of knowledge and application skills along with ensuring that students do have the opportunity and progress and exercise their analytical and evaluative skills. I have also effectively enhanced my responsibilities and contributions as a Curriculum Leader and Head of Department.
I have further developed through my experience in teaching Business at KS3, GCSE and KS5 (A-level and BTEC Diploma) along with further exploring and developing my practice in KS5 Economics.
I have always been determined to understand all aspects of my knowledge to the extent to which I can thereafter inform others of what I have learnt. I studied a broad range of GCSE subjects to maximize my learning potential. Thereafter, in further education, I had also kept my learning span very wide in studying Business Studies, Mathematics, Law and Design Technology.
This had allowed me to being aware of many career prospects, ultimately leading me to study and completing Accounting and Business studies honours degree as the subject is of significant interest to me as well as being extremely relevant to the very dynamic world around us today.
My experiences as a Tutor of Explore Learning and role of Teacher Trainee at Mulberry Academy Shoreditch, Haileybury-Turnford School, Richard Hale School, Chobham Academy and All Saints (CoE) school have extensively developed my knowledge in classroom and behaviour management, making use of practical teaching tools in various classroom environments along with understanding the importance of maintain a professional and well-balanced learning atmosphere. During my time as a NQT, I had very closely analysed different techniques used by teachers in various challenging atmospheres which had provided me with the experience of handling difficult situations very appropriately along with maintaining productivity during the course of the lesson. I had ultimately found that the two key tools effectively used to structure lessons are the use of lesson objectives/outcomes which must be highlighted throughout the lesson along with appropriate seating arrangement which would uphold productivity for the duration of lessons.
Additionally, I have thereafter gained the ability to exercise school sanction policies along with communicating with parents and department colleagues in order to deal with behavioural challenges appropriately to ensure pupil learning is maximised within lessons.
