Natalie McLellan

Marketer, designer and project manager, with three years of experience, I am interested in communications, social media, and all things creative.

I am currently working in a cosmetic ingredient wholesale company (B2B). I am trilingual in English (native), French (fluent) and Japanese (fluent).

I am currently in charge of project management, website development and front end design on Wordpress, design using the Adobe suite, 360 marketing strategies, and event planning.

As a linguistics graduate from the University of Glasgow, my strong points are my interpersonal skills and my advanced written communication skills. I am self motivated and enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team.

Marketing and Communications Officer, ACTech, Tokyo — 2022-Present

Marketing:

• Published paid advertisements in four different newspapers/journals and two websites online which brought 98 new leads to the company.
• Utilised owned strategies by posting news updates and blog posts on our website.
• Collaborated with our customers to create earned media where they discuss the merits of our product on Youtube. 
• Data analysis and reporting in English, French and Japanese, setting KPIs for future projects
• Execution of marketing projects such as connecting with and building relationships with influencers in order to promote and try our new product line which has increased traffic on our website by 60% in the past 6 months.
• Handle customer enquiries coming via our website and distributors, liaising information our suppliers in France and translating from French to Japanese ensuring smooth communication between suppliers, distributors and customers.

Design:

• Develop brand assets (logos, colours, typography, illustration, and photography)

• Collaborate with designers and developers to create a new website that implements SEO and grew customer enquiries by 108% 

Project management: 

• Work directly with manufacturers, distributors, PR agencies to plan and direct the launch of two new products
• Design, plan and execute our booth for the 2022 Osaka Cosme Week Exhibition. During the exhibition I was in charge of a team of 4 people. This event created 246 new leads for the company.

Freelancing, Tokyo — 2019 - Present 

Translation :

• Japanese to English for YouTube videos, websites, social media content. 
• French to English Translation for a start up beauty website

Social Media Marketing: 

• managing the instagram account for a small production business, 
• build a social calendar (Hootsuite)

• Planning, organising, and directing the completion of websites for a web design company with various clients in the beauty, health and well being sector.

Assistant Buyer, GSI Furniture, Glasgow — 2017-2019

• Build relationships and partnerships with suppliers in China
• Report all stock flow levels and ROI for possible new products. Was promoted after three months to assistant buyer for showing proactivity and problem solving abilities when we had stock issues.
