I have over 15 years' experience of working in the retail industry in roles ranging from customer service and cashier to merchandiser and product specialist. In my most recent post at Service Innovation group, I have been responsible for being the designated point of contact in stores across the West Midlands for the brand ambassador role. In all my roles I pride myself in my ability to overachieve and exceed all expectations in any given task.
I feel my written and verbal communication skills are exemplary and I can effectively build rapport and adapt to new working environments.
Brand Ambassador - Service innovation group - West Midlands
(2019-10)
Sales Assistant / Product Specialist - Dixons Carphone
(2012-12 - 2019-12)
After developing my customer service skills, I moved to the position of sales assistant at Dixons Carphone. This role allowed me to work with electronics, something I have a great deal of passion in. I achieved numerous awards and recognition for my performance and also achieved the Apple Master expert status in my store.
Sales Assistant / warehouse operative - Comet group plc
(2008-12 - 2012-11)
Started of as warehouse, then moved to the position of sales assistant. This role allowed me to work back of house, then was supporting staff when busy on the shop floor, then was rapidly moved over to sales as management recognised potential.
Repair Technician - BCA Birmingham
(2007-03 - 2008-09)
Another role as a vehicle repair technician, however this role was focused on private customers. The company specialised in carrying out restoration work to classic cars as well as high end valets for luxury and supercars. In this role I feel I perfected many skills such as paintwork restoration, professional mop and polish and interior trim.
Refurbishment Technician - National Service Hub
(2006-04 - 2007-12)
Continuing product refurbishment, however, this role was focused on consumer electronics (laptops, mobile phones, portable gaming devices). The role involved software diagnostics, water damage repair, device tampering investigation and also providing video training for the wider team.
Sales Assistant - Sainsbury's
(2004-06 - 2006-12)
As a sales assistant I really enjoyed this position as it was very different to any previous role. I was forced to interact more with customers in a retail environment which I feel helped develop my self-confidence, something I felt was lacking due to the circumstances of the previous roles which had little customer engagement and more product focused.
GCSE - English, Maths & Sciences - Moseley Secondary School (1995-01 - 2000-12)
Electrical engineering - Solihull College (2001-01 - 2003-12)
