I am proficient in mechanical and maintenance management and can undertake duties such as water testing, reactive maintenance and vehicle management - all which I currently do at Gargrave House as part of the maintenance team. I am currently in the contracted maintenance role at Gargrave House.
I would describe myself as a strong team player, and also someone who is very well organised with excellent communication skills. As a qualified electrician I am able to deliver time served skills as well as being able to undertake plumbing and joinery work - all of which I currently do in my existing role: I manage all our machinery and plant that we use on site and complete all the fire, emergency lighting, boiler and generator tests for the main house. I am able to liaise directly with team members to deliver health and safety and robust risk and method statements -
I already undertake all electrical, water and plumbing inspections in my current role as Maintenance Officer at Gargrave House as well as overseeing the gardens and outbuilding maintenance. I am proficient in fire and emergency lighting systems and am able to maintain fully both systems ( plus some CCTV work if required) .I am able to communicate well verbally and written, using all IT systems required even a SAP systems for ticket driven systems management to allow management to keep a clear and full understanding as to work(s) requested, delivered and a timeline for all - all of which helps when records are inspected.As an electrician I can oversee all power and lighting works as well as a qualified City & Guilds PAT Tester/Testing if that helps the site.
Living only 7 minutes away in Gargrave I hope will strengthen my application as I can be versatile and accommodating on working hours and on call if required. My experience spans over 20 years in terms of maintenance roles both at Morrisons Head Office at Hilmoe House as well as Universal Group. I also have extensive experience in delivering as a Project Manager for \Universal at York University and Leeds Becketts University - so have a good data retention and security skill set.
I have an electrical equipment background from IT workshop/Service Desks through to Technology Manager. I can operate, programme and maintain CCTV systems - both from an operational and installation perspective. I would describe myself as a strong team player, well organised with excellent Maths and literacy skills.
I have a full, clean Driving Licence and am fully available and flexible and just 7 minutes away so I hope my application can be looked upon positively.
