I was a personal care for a lady named Caroline, who lives with MS. I helped with cooking, cleaning, and personal care. Her personal care was completed in bed as she had limited mobility. Once her personal care was completed and leg bag emptied, she was hoisted out of bed using her sling and placed into her wheelchair and the same in the evening when she was put back into bed.
I made sure her hospital bed/sling and hoist were serviced before the expired date. I was also responsible for ordering and picking up her medication, as well as leg bags and night bags (My client also had a catheter in place) Her leg bag was changed every week on a Sunday. I booked doctor's appointment, wheelchair appointment, hair appointment, home dentist appointment, contracting the District nurses; any transport needing to be booked for hospital & wheelchair appointments was also done by me.

While I was a senior care assistant at Green Trees Care home I Supervised and supported a team of care assistants, ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance with care plans. I delivered person centered care to elderly residents, including those with complex needs such as dementia and mobility limitations. Administered medication in line with protocols and maintained accurate care records, medication count and reporting any mistakes or errors, led shift operations, delegating tasks such as (laundry, and kitchen and the residents the stuff handled during shift hours).
Each care were responsible for supporting 4-5 residents per shift as the home had 16 residents in the home. Preparing breakfast, snacks and supper was also apart of my role as a senior carer. I Built strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to improve care outcomes.
