I am a highly motivated scientist with interdisciplinary background, skills and experience in Material Science, Chemistry and Engineering. I have solid work experience in research and technical writing. Furthermore, I possess excellent analytical and communication skills and is currently looking for an opportunity to utilize these in a challenging working environment where I can be a valuable asset.
Regarding my professional career, I have experience in different companies as a laboratory technician, chemist and engineer. As a laboratory technician I have been able to work with analytical techniques for the analysis of the chemical composition of soils, in a department of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and in the construction of prototypes for aquifers. As a chemist I have experience researching with materials such as graphene.
Additionally, I have experience working with computational chemistry in two different departments. As an engineer I have done postdoctoral research in which I investigated experimentally and through simulation (Comsol) the effects of transfer and transport of organic solvents in porous media. My last job was as a data analyst, my responsibilities were focused on optimizing the performance of companies through process mining.
I have two 5-year bachelor's degrees in chemistry and materials engineering. I also have a master's degree in quality certification and a PhD in mechanical engineering from Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh). My formative years have helped me to acquire relevant technical and scientific skills in the effective use of a wide range of research methods.
In addition, I have taken courses on physical methods of analysis of thin layers, handling of the scanning electron microscope and computational modelling, which have also added experience in physical-chemical characterization as well as molecular modelling to my skills.
