This was a seasonal summer job that I did two years running, my duties included:

• Worked both alone and as part of a small team and was responsible for serving customers with a range of seaside gifts and ice cream.
• Serving a wide variety of ice creams were made up according to customer requests which were either scooped manually or by using the ice cream machine.
• Cleanliness and hygiene were essential, and the shop and counter area were always kept clean and tidy.
• Although I used the till, the role required good numerical skills and the ability to mentally calculate the cost of goods while making up the orders, as this saved time, particularly when it was very busy.
