Since leaving school I have achieved many different career opportunities and have had many triumphs in my life so far. I would like to say I'm a very sociable person and a dedicated worker when I'm given tasks. I currently work with a rope access company where I vary in work between working on-site and office administration work in the office where I organize and plan jobs,

I pursued this job as I wanted to take up a unique career to work with ropes and heights. It has taught me so much about how to work with people to complete tasks and to complete a job to your best ability. Through this job I learnt a lot about working under a strict deadline, solving problems to access our tasks and how to be punctual in the early parts of the day.

Work would also vary on distance, so we had to do a lot of travelling in the process which I found to be an interesting experience working so far from home

I first pursued this job for the experience in working in an office environment where i learnt many skills from using Microsoft office as a tool to produce work that was set to me. I have also learnt many skills on organization with files and how to produce invoices for the clients we have worked with. This job required me to work under a lot of stress on some day's dependent on how busy the company was.

Although there was work heavy days after completing all tasks at hand the work was found to be very rewarding.

As soon as school had finished, I began work here every Saturday and carried out tasks such as managing the product stock including organizing, counting and reordering hair colours and products. I interacted with customers in a friendly, professional manner and provided a welcoming environment and refreshments. I also had a large role in keeping the shop clean and tidy and helping with customer payments including giving correct change and checking the till float at the end of the day.

I focused mainly on learning about the workplace to develop skills and understand how to function and deal with problems that I faced. I was able to develop my skills promptly by clearly listening to instruction and having the confidence to ask for help when I required it.

Next

I had started working here just after I began college, meaning I'd go to college and then have my uniform in my bag and go straight to work. This job showed me that sometimes work can come hard but that's what makes it rewarding. I also learnt how to manage money behind the till which I was given great trust in doing. There was a strict regimen of lists that had to be complete by the end of the day which also taught me to work under pressure while completing other takes on top of the main ones
