About

I have a keen interest in both mechanics and engineering, and I also enjoy mathematics as I enjoy solving mathematical problems. I am an active listener that works well as part of a team, something that I put into practice in school practicals and throughout my residential stay at Outward Bound. I pay close attention to detail and carefully and accurately follow instructions. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports and particularly enjoy football as I enjoy team sports.

Experience

Outward Bound (2018):

During a residential stay at Outward Bound, I participated in a range of activities including canoeing where we were in our own canoe but had to keep an eye on each other to spot anyone in difficulty in the water. During canoeing, we also participated in a group task in which we all held a partner's canoe and canoed as one large group - this required a high level of determination and communication to ensure that we were all rowing in the same direction. I also participated in a teamwork orienteering scavenger hunt task where I led my team through the woods to find markers using a map and compass. I also demonstrated resilience by participating in a jog and dip exercise in which I ran into the sea late at night and fully immersed myself in the freezing cold water.

Scouts (2014):

During my time in Scouts I participated in weekly activities such as map reading, mathematical problem solving and helping others. I also participated in a weekend camping event during which I helped ot erect a tent, I hiked up large hills and helped to cook food on the campfire.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing team sports such as football and basketball. I also enjoy walking, as I find it relaxing, and I enjoy regular work outs.
