Nosheen Khan

I graduated as a UK registered Dietitian from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2013 with a Nutrition and Dietetics Honours Degree. I have an interest in weight management, diabetes and disordered eating. I have worked in the above fields extensively for 6 years, ranging from working in new services to intermediate services to well established services using evidence based practice in advising on nutrition plans, developing tailored and goal-focused health initiatives.

I have been involved in locum work which has allowed growth and development as well as application of existing skillset and clinical knowledge. The posts have entailed both face to face and remote working. I have experienced the best of both styles of working and I can say I am comfortable working with a team and in my own company!

I have strong verbal and written communication skills, behaviour change and motivation interviewing skills and I am confident in using digital technology. I am organised, friendly, optimistic, and open to new ideas, to help deliver the best possible care.

Alongside my clinical work, I have been involved in the assessment of post graduate and undergraduate dietetic students on the Behaviour Change module and learning from other professionals at Leeds Beckett University.
