I worked as a Relationship Manager for an Energy Consultancy firm.

Managed portfolio of 95 accounts for an energy procurement and sustainability consultancy, running tenders and handling client enquiries on energy markets, policy and compliance.

• Responsible for all account management activities including developing and executing client success strategies to increase sales of new products as business pivoted from brokerage to offering bespoke energy risk management, energy efficiency and ESG compliance services.
• Negotiated energy supply and meter operator agreements on behalf of clients, consulting with business energy suppliers to agree contract terms, billing requirements and unit rates.
• Held responsibility for liaising with franchisee and sector partnerships. Main point of contact for IPIA (printing) working alongside marketing colleagues to produce sector specific materials, industry news, presentation content for events and conferences and social media posts.
• Used consultative sales approach to support client’s own goals for installation of low carbon technologies, renewable generation assets and EV charge points and compliance with carbon disclosure regulations.

I have amassed 9 years of experience building a career out of client centric and consultative account management and business development roles. I have also been involved in the recruitment process and trained new sales recruits. All my jobs were important teaching me a variety of skills.

I am particularly proud of building an entire client database from scratch in my four years working for the glazing business that hired me soon after it was incepted. I have a Honours degree on Business Management which gives me added commercial acumen. I have also completed advanced Sandlers sales training with high marks.
