Food Preparation Staff at Bagel bean Armagh (2025-06 – 2025-08)
Over my first year of a levels, I had another job taken over summer to contribute to the cost of the insurance of my car. During this time, I was trained to work at speed to prepare food and keep the kitchen up to standard. Additionally, I had also been given another thorough run through of health and safety, and how to speak to customers in a professional scene.
Engineering Placement at Mallghan's Dungannon (2025-06 – 2025-08)
Over the summer for my A levels, I had to do placement for my engineering. The company which I had chosen for my work experience was Mallaghan's. When I was younger, I used to help my Father out with his handyman work at KPG Contracts.
From making a house from nothing in monaghan, to extensions to houses in markethill. The supervisors at Mallaghan's noticed that I had the experience to do some activities to an acceptable standard. From this, I was given the ability to work away without strict supervision and be seen as a regular employee.
This was my first aspect of the engineering environment, which had gathered a strong connection to what I would want to do after I finish school. After my placement at Mallaghan's the head of the area to which i was working at, told me to come back after I had finished school. However, I did not see this as a formal and professional way to ensure a job over school.
So i had kept my options open for another apprenticeship regarding the line of engineering.
