Mechanical Engineer with 2.5 years Manufacturing Specialist & Process engineering experience at Seagate Technology. Whilst completing my final 2 years at university I accepted a full time shift role at Seagate as a manufacturing specialist and gained approval to complete my Dissertation on the use of additive manufacturing to produce parts for legacy machines in Seagate's manufacturing site. Upon the completion of University I progressed internally on promotion to the role of Process Engineer where I became a tool owner managing and optimising optical inspection processes to improve and support product quality, yield, efficiency and equipment performance while supporting production and continuous improvement initiatives.

In 2023, I moved to Australia to pursue opportunities and gain experience. I delivered work on multiple fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) construction projects. During this time, I Worked in Sydney as a tunnelling operative assisting Mechanical Fitters in the disassembly of tunnel boring machines.

I have Recently returned from Australia to pursue long term career progression within engineering.

Process Engineer at Seagate Technology (2022-07 – 2023-10)

Process Engineer within the Metrology Inspection team, acting as tool owner for multiple optical inspection toolsets in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

• Oversaw the troubleshooting, development, configuration, and optimisation of new and existing inspection processes across various stages of product development in collaboration with R&D.
• Performed gauge R&R studies, statistical analysis, and capability assessments using JMP, creating transactional datasets and analysing key process input/output variables (KPIVs/KPOVs) to drive process improvements.
• Partnered with Production and Equipment Engineering teams to resolve process and equipment issues, minimise production bottlenecks, and reduce equipment downtime.
• Investigated process deviations using structured root cause analysis and implemented corrective actions to improve process stability and manufacturing performance.

Manufacturing Specialist at Seagate Technology (2020-09 – 2022-06)

• Operated advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including MeiVac Precision 602 PVD sputtering systems, Balzers deposition equipment, and automated inspection tools within an ISO Class 5 cleanroom environment.
• Monitored production processes and equipment performance to ensure safe, efficient operation while meeting production, quality, and yield targets.
• Performed qualification wafer testing and quality inspections to verify process performance and ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications.

Australian Civil Construction Experience at Multiple Contractors (2023-10 – Present)

• Worked across major civil infrastructure, tunnelling and earthworks projects, including the Western Harbour Tunnel, remote Fly in fly out (FIFO) projects and Gold Coast City Council infrastructure works.
• Progressed into team leadership responsibilities, coordinating crews on tunnel service installations and supporting the safe, efficient delivery of construction activities in high-pressure environments.
• Collaborated closely with engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure works were completed in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications and quality standards.
• Gained practical experience in earthworks, stormwater infrastructure, underground services, pipe installation, formwork, steel fixing, concrete placement and remedial works.
• Operated heavy civil plant including articulated haul trucks, heavy rigid trucks and compaction rollers while supporting excavation, drainage installation and site preparation activities.
