IWorking as an employability support worker for people in recovery.. I am confident in preparing individuals for SVQ placement and interviews, employment opportunities, offering practical guidance alongside emotional support. I take a strenghts-based approach, helping individuals recognise their progress and potential, while also equipping them with the tools to succeed in the relevant environment.
My experience working alongside agencies such as the DWP, NHS, Police, Women's aid and other local services, has given me a solid understanding of the wider support landscape. I am confident in signposting, multi-agency collaboration, and advocating on behalf of individuals to ensure they access the right opportunities and support at the right time. Previously I had achieved my level 3(England) Level 5 (Scotland) IAG (information, advice and guidance), whilst working as a Careers adviser for the National careers service.
I am familiar with various educational approaches to learning and enjoy the opportunity to continuously improve by building on experience, whilst liaising with the individual, and establishing the foundations of trust.

Working with people in recovery from drugs, and/or alcohol. Training, CV's, upskilling individuals to achieve either education or employment. I have recently completed course in ASSIST, suicide prevention training

Offering one to one support, and group workshops for people in recovery and or homeless. Liaising with partners, to determine best practice for enabling future support.
Project youth worker and Training coordinator at Cumbria Youth Alliance (2024-10 – 2025-07)
Working with young people from the age of 18 to 24, after being referred via the DWP. Created individual action plans, focusing on areas in their lives that identified as barriers. Once this had been established, I supported and offered advice and guidance as required.
I also worked with local businesses to facilitate any opportunities that they may have for young people, including community halls, to organise training workshops. I regularly liaised with NHS and BAE, for a widening access to quality work steering group.
Careers adviser with the National careers service at PHX Training (2024-06 – 2024-10)
Guiding and advising people on careers and how to achieve both short-term and long-term goals through learning and training opportunities. Continuous support through follow up appointments, allowing the person to maintain an understanding of their own potential and how this can be best maintained, with guidance.

Working on a one-to-one basis with children who need additional support, which can be educational and emotional, due to their individual backgrounds and requirements. Taking intervention lessons for smaller groups of children who have not achieved the milestones that their peers have.
