I am a qualified HLTA.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in MFL (2:1) and a PGCHE in Education.
I am currently working in a SEN high school, Post 16 college.
During my Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching assistant courses I learnt about Foundation Stage National Curriculum and Child Development and Learning. I have also gained a Level 2 certificate in Understand Children and Young People’s Mental Health and a Level 2 certificate in Understanding Autism.
I have experience in Primary Schools in Italy (Umbria) and in England and I am fully committed to demonstrate my passion and my skills in this role. I have been working with children in private tuition and small classes and I am aware of all the challenges involved in teaching additional languages to young children and the importance of supporting them through their learning journey.
I invested in myself in order to gain a level 3 Teaching Assistant diploma and successfully gained the qualification to put into practice, in a new and motivating career as Teaching Assistant.
I am also a free-lance tutor of Italian and Spanish language for children and adults; I have run Italian language courses in a Primary Schools and also as after school clubs. I also organize creative writing courses for children. In all my classes I put my 100 per cent of motivation and passion as I strongly believe that the students’ success is based on a string engagement and inspiration.
My experience in the classroom gave me the skills of helping and support pupils in their learning journey, working side to side with teachers and staff to ensure progress.
In particular, I worked on communication and creative skills, organising workshops and after school clubs about languages.
My main experience was in a Primary Catholic School in Rotherham, where I taught to 8 classes and organised an Italian play at the end of the school year. I have also worked as a volunteer in the classroom at Crossley Fields Primary School in Mirfield and I have worked as Teaching Assistant for various schools for Provide Education. I am currently working as an Educational Teaching Assistant (SEN) at Thornes Centre for Provide Education.
I am passionate about my job and I enjoy working as a part of a team and individually.
I am well organized, creative and enthusiastic.
I am interested in in finding always new ways of teaching and new tools to motivate and encourage my students, also with the support of my ICT skills (in my lessons I use PP, Word, online resources and platform to make the lessons more interactive).
My background in Journalism and Anthropology studies gave me a wide vision of the communication field and teaching languages offers me the chance to get in touch with different backgrounds and spread multicultural awareness.
I am a reliable person always keen to help and support and also willing to challenge myself in my professional development. I am keen on undertaking any professional development.
