This is my CV and relates to my one and only job I have had with Waitrose / John Lewis (From January 2002 to April 2026). In my position I was responsible for the smooth running of the meat, fish and deli counters. I undertook this role without close supervision. In addition I covered other areas in the branch such as check-outs, retail and warehouse operations.

In my position I was responsible for the smooth running of the meat, fish and deli counters. I undertook this role without close supervision. In addition I covered other areas in the branch such as check-outs, retail and warehouse operations.

• Provided excellent customer service in day to day duties
• Provided information and advice on the products we provided
• Customised items available on the meat counter to meet the requests of customers
• Took responsibility for the sales we made by having a direct approach to building and maintaining a positive rapport with customers
• Showed an interest in learning more about the products we sold and how they compliment each other and took pride in explaining knowledge to customers to help them in selecting products
• Enjoyed creating enticing displays for customers
• Shared the responsibility of supporting the management team such as date checking products, ordering produce for the counters using internal computer systems to track sales trends and wastage figures and order stock depending on expected demand
• Used experience to determine fluctuations and maintain a good balance of stock
• Took responsibility for managing and organising the counter
• Showed flexibility with the many duties performed and was always willing to try a variety of new challenges
• Supported new staff by providing training and development, knowledge and experience
• Encouraged all to achieve high standards and led by example with a hands-on approach
• Took an enormous amount of pride and passion in the displays created and strived to give a high performance and eye for detail
