Dental Nursing Apprentice - Bottesford Dental Practice

(2025-01)

At Bottesford Dental Practice, I am completing an apprenticeship through "Tempdent" which is allowing me to complete my dental nursing course for a Level 3 qualification, while also pursuing a qualification in dental nursing I am also doing my functional maths along the side of this on "BKSB" which is preparing me for my exams. Since starting my job at Bottesford Dental Practice, I have had my Hepatitis B vaccinations which I am still waiting on my last blood test for my results to see if I meet the standards of enough antibodies. I show a massive passion for dental nursing as I take part in Root Canal Treatments, Dentures and Implants with the Specialist who comes in twice a month on Saturdays.

I also take part in orthodontic treatment with a Qualified nurse who helps me learn the methods of treatment. I work along the side of two dentists one NHS Dentist and one Private Dentist where I take part in completing treatments such as exams, developing x-rays correctly, fillings and many more treatment within the practice. I carry out my decontamination routine in the surgery and in the decontamination room to make sure the cross contamination is reduced as much as possible.

Nursery Assistant - Little Frogs Daycare Ltd - Winterton

At Little Frogs Daycare I helped to serving meals, ensure that pots are washed ready for the next meals and kept up with tasks I was provided from my boss. During the day I made sure the surfaces are clean and the floor was swept lessening the chance of injury. I make sure the children are happy by encouraging all ages to interact and play together helping the more anxious children become stronger with their social skills.

I also provided 1 to 1 support to children with learning difficulties making sure they stayed safe throughout the day by sitting with them while they ate their meals and helped keep them calm when they got upset.

Work Experience - My Dentist - Scunthorpe

(2024-04-03 - 2024-04-10)

While I was at My Dentist I watched the orthodontist fit braces. I also observed treatments in practice including extractions, assisted in developing x-rays, root canal treatments and assisted in the decontamination room. I also assisted on reception greeting patients and taking payments and when needed, I answered the phone and also assisted in stocking materials at the end of clinics.

Kitchen Assistant - Upper Crust - Scunthorpe

(2022 - 2024)

At Upper Crust I helped work weekends by preparing food such as chopping vegetables and making sandwiches. I helped displaying food on the front counter while also helping the cook at venues away from the shop. I swept the floors which helped keep the shop clean and tidy, I also stocked shelfs to make sure the customers were happy. I answered the phone to take in orders and pass them onto the cook to keep the shop running smoothly.
