Preschool Teacher Seeking New Career Path
Send a job offer directly to this candidate
I have successfully balanced my role as a preschool teacher with completing my Masters in Sports Management. I hold an MBA in Sports Management and aspire to transition into a career in the sports industry. Drawing from my experience as a graduate assistant for a women's soccer team at the university I attended and played for, I have honed my skills in team leadership, strategic planning, and player development.
My academic achievements and practical experience have equipped me with a solid foundation to excel in a sports-related role, combining my love for sports with my expertise in management and education. I am in the middle of relocating to England with my partner on a UK Partner Visa. Therefore, I am able to work without any restrictions.
Prior to my current role as a preschool teacher, I served as a graduate assistant coach at my alma mater, alongside working as a substitute teacher. I was a substitute teacher for about two years and a graduate assistant for one. I spent the first year of the grad program as a player.
Juggling these roles, I secured substitute teaching jobs on a first-come, first-serve basis, all the while dedicated to coaching. As I neared the completion of my studies, I sought a more stable position to support myself financially. Joining my current school in May, I committed to seeing through the academic year with the same group of students until they progressed to the next level.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in History with the initial intent of becoming a history teacher. However, after gaining experience as a substitute teacher and graduate assistant, I discovered my passion for sports. This realization prompted me to pivot my career focus towards sports management, leading me to pursue an MBA in the field.
This transition reflects my journey from a foundation in education to a specialized focus on sports management, aligning my academic background with my newfound passion for the sports industry.
