Smart Meter Engineer - British Gas

I was a smart meter engineer with British Gas as I learnt the fundamentals of working with gas, electrics, learned safety skills along the way, also how to interact with customers as me and my mentor took on 2 jobs a day which allowed me to have enough time to learn my trade and also how to problem solve aswell as I interact with customers, which then moved me on to solo working for 6 months were I learned how to problem solve on my own. In my time with company I gained my SMICOP certification and also my MCOP certification, along with CMA1, SMET 1, SMET 2.
Customer Advisor - B&Q

This is a weekend job which I did in my own time out with school hours. I assist customers with any in person queries they have while in the store. I process orders online where I need to be computer literate in using all Microsoft Office suites.
I can at times be under pressure so having good communication skills and being resilient help in these situations. I also carry heavy loads of stock and backfill any shelves as and when required. I regularly put myself forward for overtime to help meet the business expectations.
Grounds Worker - Comman Ground Works

I assisted a family friend while he started a ground works business in the lead up to and throughout the school summer holidays. During this time I acquired skills in how to be a good team player and learned how to take on challenges by myself.
Stage Crew - OVO Events

I assisted a friend's father throughout the school summer holidays as a stage crew member doing production for events. These shifts were long, 12 hour shifts and very manual labour. While doing this job I learned good time keeping and communication skills. I also learned a lot about health and safety as this was a construction type job building the staging for the production etc.
Customer Assistant - Gianni's Fish & Chip Shop

This was a job I did in my own time out with school hours. I would assist in taking food orders and preparing food for take away. Dealing with customers face to face I learned great customer service skills while doing this role. This also helped me build my confidence dealing with colleagues and customers at a young age.
Ground Worker Apprentice - Careys
(2024-09 - 2024-02)
I was a ground worker apprentice and in this job I learned what the real working life is as I was contracted to 60 hours a week. Also gained experience on drainage mono blocking and screeding along with digging and hard work.
Staff Member - Morrisons
(2024-06 - 2025-01)
While working in Morrisons I earned even more experience of working with customers and working with food. How to prepare food and store it also learnt how to safely carry heavy loads in a busy store for example a rolling cage full of food stock. While working in Morrisons I shorted my hours to weekends only while I was in my apprentice for Carey's meaning I was working 7 days a week which taught me good discipline.
