Dear sir / madam,
My name is Richard Foot and I have worked in the construction industry for 43 years, starting as an apprentice bricklayer through to project management. In that time I have gained a wealth of experience acrosss a wide range of the industry. I went into management in 2008 staring as a contracts manager for a brickwork contractor, I felt that I needed to broaden my horizons and then went to work as a site manager undertaking CAT B fitouts to one of Londons most high profile luxury hotels and luxury offices.
I gained further office fitout experience as the site manager on the CAT A refit of Net work rail offices at Waterloo station, and then some further construction works on the Network rail infrastructure.
In 2014 I went to work in Azerbaijan and completed the fitout of the 5star Park Chalet hotel at the Shahdag mountain resort, I was also sent down to Baku to assist in getting the Intourist hotel to completion and handed over 140 5 start guest room over ahead of programme. Whilst at Shahdag I also managed the internal refit of the Presidents personal villas.
I came back to the UK in 2016 and worked as the contracts manager for a medium sized company that undertook large basement projects and large brickwork sub contracts.
In 2022 I went the work in the Cayman islands as a project manager on a property renovation for a VHNWI In 2023 I started a large student accomodation project in Guildford as the project manager but it was postponed as the project had not been divested and funded, the company sent me to project in Bath in Somerset, I left this position after 6 months as the working away and living in hotels was not what I wanted.
In 2024 I started a 64 bedroom care home as the project manager in Croydon which is my current position.
Below are the areas that I have experience in.
Piling - including sheet piling
Basements - including waterproofing and underpinning
Foundations - including waterproofing
Drainage - including pumping stations - deep excavation drainage
Superstructure - Brickwork, SFS, Curtain wall, Render systems
Roofing - Traditional trussed roofs and flat roofs in both timber and metal with various coverings
Internal fit out - including offices, luxury hotels and luxury residential
Pre - start negotiations
Project software including set up
