The last 33 years as a Prison Senior officer specialising in Wing management and staff supervision.
8 years as a coal miner before that and 7 years as an infantry soldier prior to that. now retired and looking for a part time role to supplement my pension. Currently aged 65 with years of working life in front of me.
willing to attend training as required and travel within reason.
left school at age 15 in 1972 to become a Junior Leader ( Infantry) i did this up until 1979 when i left the army and became a Coal miner in Nottingham after 8 years doing several underground roles the mine closed and i was made redundant. i joined the Prison service in 1989 and have remained a prison officer and Senior officer sine then i retired July 2022
left school with 3 CSE's during service with the army i attained Maths English and General Science GCSE's as a miner i qualified as a Colliery Ventilation Officer to City and Guilds level, at Trent Polytechnic in Nottingham in the prison service i took and passed the exam for promotion to senior officer, became a Senior Officer in 1997.
