Engineering Lead with extensive experience guiding development teams, managing delivery, and supporting complex multi-client platform builds within highly regulated environments. Over more than a decade at FNZ, I have led teams of developers, overseen release readiness, provided performance reviews, and stepped into delivery management responsibilities as required.

I combine deep technical expertise across .NET, SQL and system integration with a strong focus on simplifying complex architecture, improving maintainability and aligning solutions with business logic. Experienced across the full SDLC, I manage resource allocation, mitigate blockers, and support teams through changing client priorities and demanding delivery timelines.

I have upskilled development teams across multiple international locations, onboarded new engineers, and led knowledge-sharing initiatives to reduce single points of failure. I bring a practical, structured approach to design and delivery, with a commitment to clarity, modular thinking and high-quality engineering standards.

Active interest in sport, coaching and fitness. Member of a local rugby club and coach for minis and juniors, having previously assisted with coaching adult sides. Project Technical Lead, FNZ 2018- Present

• Lead and manage teams of developers across major platform upgrades, ensuring they have the technical support, resources and clarity needed to meet delivery targets.
• Plan sprints, manage developer workloads and adapt to shifting client priorities while maintaining delivery commitments.
• Represent engineering on release board calls, presenting codebase readiness and advising key stakeholders on risks, dependencies and suitability for release.
• Step into the Delivery Manager role when required, supporting project planning, alignment with client teams and delivery execution.
• Oversee performance management, including writing reviews and providing structured feedback.
• Allocate and reallocate resources in response to organisational changes and evolving project needs.
• Visit and support satellite offices globally (Toronto, Cape Town, Brno, Shanghai) to upskill new starters and strengthen technical capability across teams.
• Onboard and interview new staff, ensuring smooth integration into the team and alignment with engineering standards.
• Maintain code quality by reviewing submissions, ensuring adherence to standards and safeguarding long-term maintainability.
• Lead the strategic redesign of the platform to consolidate multiple client systems with varied requirements into a single codebase.
