I’m a highly motivated and hard-working person. I feel very comfortable in being a Manager, supervisory, production or engineering roles. I fit in leading or being part of a team. I can demonstrate good skills at learning new challenges.

My current role as an Operational Excellence Manager and Manufacturing Engineer includes:

Production Management of EDM department (electrical discharge machining), and Laser department (Laser cutting, welding and marking).

Planning and executing manufacturing high volume medical and nuclear marine components.

Coaching, tutoring and mentoring manufacturing teams and individuals.

Planning shifts, overtime, holidays and training of the manufacturing teams and individuals.

Ensuring manufacturing works to high precision quality controls.

Working with other Managers of other departments.

Writing Work Instructions, and training against these.

Continuously, improving manufacturing methods.

Continuously looking at all aspects of the business, to help drive improvements. And cost reductions.

Recording data, and producing KPI’s to the Operations Manager.

As well as being a Manger. My role also includes product development:

Design Engineering.

Using CAD to design new products.

Using EDM, Laser, lathes, milling machines to manufacture prototypes, and new design products.

Using EDM, Laser, lathes, milling machines to manufacture bespoke work holding devices and fixtures for low and high-volume manufacturing.

Travelling to the USA to train my US colleagues in manufacturing processes I have designed.

Working with Design Engineer’s to help improve new and old manufacturing methods.

To continue with my own training and education in management, manufacturing and engineering.

Working with current and new customers.
