I strongly believe, due to external feedback and my personal opinion, that I am an empathetic yet logical communicator with a great understanding of progression and reassurance.
Along with this, I truly believe that personal development and emotional healing can provide us with the means for not only a peaceful life, but also a progressive one, allowing us to have meaningful careers, relationships, good mental health and a positive outlook on life. Through this perspective, I have the understanding that our childhood and youth experiences shape the way of our future and adulthood, resulting in the health of our minds and all else. This is why I find such importance in the mental health, physical health and positive experiences of people.
I have a strong willingness to support people as I believe that the same way I am shaping my future will help positively shape theirs.
Creative thinking and exploration through my personal interests and work experience have allowed me to develop several creative, innovative and inventive skills. I have volunteered in youth zones and provided safe, inclusive and constructive art workshops, as well as, ran my own handmade business for 2 years with social media management and marketing. I am knowledgeable and skilled on several art forms, such as: painting, drawing, clay sculpting, embroidery, crafting, video editing (using high quality software), photography.
My passion in creative art does not end and I look forward to learning and developing in many other forms with a keen interest and determination.
I also have experience as a health and social care worker, as well as an administrator within a company funded by the NHS. During my time in these roles, I worked with young people who struggled both mentally and physically. I provided and managed planned creative activities, such as painting, whilst also adhering to Safeguarding ; creating/observing risk assessments, considering the dangers that may affect the young people.
These may include the observation of: Psychological risks (sensitive topics inflicting harm like trauma), Physical risks of the surrounding area (electrical/chemical hazards/faulty equipment/ergonomic risks), and the risks of changing variables of the environment (such as risks of out of Youth Zone trips- moving vehicles, strangers, etc) as well as data leaks and client confidentiality which I have first-hand experience in dealing with in the day-to-day working life as a Business Administrator.
During my career and volunteering positions, I supported youth workers in several public events that needed decorating, catering, managing and marketing. I also co-managed residential trips.
