Work Experience Placement at Waitrose

During my work experience placement at Waitrose, I gained practical experience in shelf replenishment and parcel handling, including unloading parcels from delivery trucks and scanning them according to their destinations. I also observed daily store operations and the importance of maintaining store standards, providing good customer service and working effectively as part of a team. This experience helped me develop my organisational skills, attention to detail and understanding of workplace expectations, including the importance of following instructions and handling tasks accurately.

Charity Event Volunteer at Light Upon

During Ramadan, I volunteered at a charity event organised by Light Upon, helping distribute food to attendees for iftar. I worked alongside other volunteers to ensure food was handed out and people were supported during the event. This experience helped me develop my teamwork, communication and organisational skills while highlighting the importance of community support, cooperation and treating others with kindness and respect.
